Surrender Class-Week 2-Listening

Listen to yourself and in that quietude, you might hear the voice of God~Maya Angelou

HELLO LOVELIES!! I am so sorry-I’ve been a little backwards this week and i’m sorry for not getting all this goodness out sooner. Week 2 of my 4 week class at Concord Dallas, Consisted of Listening. Listening requires being still(Psalms 46:10. Before moving we should seek God by calling on him and praying. God speaks to us through his word, our thoughts, through others, and circumstances. If you don’t hear from God, take a step; and if you don’t fell at peace, then step back. Ask God for discernment(The ability to judge well). Remember that God is sovereign. Let Him Work.

I believe that is a lot of whats wrong with our society today and me. If we just still back and be still and let Him guide us–Then the rest will Follow. I find that very difficult for me as i am trying to achieve everything on my own and always to stubborn to ask for help. But GOD ain’t done with me yet!

There were a series of questions along with this lesson.

  1. Is there anything specific that you need to hear from GOD on?
  2. What will you ask God to reveal?
  3. What time will you sit aside to meditate daily?
  4. What’s Your Prayer?

My answers to the above questions.

  1. I need to hear GOD that its okay to mess up and what is my purpose.
  2. I have asked GOD my true-self and reveal the mentioned above.
  3. 10 pm(I know its late but i get off from my corporate job so late)
  4. My prayer is to stop and listen and let GOD lead.

I do hope week 2 class has served you well.

Included in week 2 at your Leisure, Write down 3 blessings in your life and 3 things you would like to change about yourself.

TALK SOON!

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and i in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain  in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”-John 15:5-7
